LateNite is an independent production studio committed to investing in emerging creatives with strong, unique voices, helping tell their stories in a creatively supportive and collaborative environment. Our work uses humour to explore outsider stories that are unmistakably human and straddle the line between light and dark.

NICHOLAS COLLA / Director & Co-Founder

Nicholas Colla is a producer of film, television & digital content, working across both live action and animation. His producing credits include fantasy comedy The Wizards of Aus featuring Guy Pearce (SBS), children’s adventure comedy The Legend of Burnout Barry (ABC) and the AACTA nominated Rebooted, which had its world premiere at Annecy. Nick has produced units for Lingo Pictures AACTA award winning drama Lambs of God (Foxtel) and Princess Pictures sketch series The Slot (Comedy Channel). His more recent projects include animated comedy Munch Rexford: Legendary Poacher!! (Adult Swim), mystery comedy Ruby Rai P.I. (ABC), the AACTA nominated animated sitcom The Future of Everything (Grouse House) and Australia-Canada-Singapore Co-Production Andrew the big BIG Unicorn with Pirate Size Productions, Mainframe Studios and Infinite Studios (ABC/CBC).

NICOLETTE MINSTER / Writer & Producer

Nicolette Minster is a writer and producer whose television credits include Erinsborough High (Channel 5 UK), Kinne Tonight (10 Network), Sammy J (ABC), The Legend of Burnout Barry (ABC), The Wonder Gang (ABC) and Larry the Wonderpup (WTFN/Seven Network). She has contributed in development rooms for Lingo Pictures, Fremantle, Werner Productions, CJZ, Seven Studios and Sticky Pictures. Nicolette co-wrote the psychological thriller feature "Girl at the Window" starring Radha Mitchell, directed by Mark Hartley and produced by Tony Ginane. As a producer, Nicolette's credits include the animated comedy series The Future of Everything (Grouse House) and Ruby Rai P.I. (ABC).

CHRIS HOCKING / Director & Co-Founder

Chris has been working in the entertainment industry for over two decades. Previously the Post Production Supervisor at Melbourne's award winning editing house The Butchery, and finishing house The Refinery, Chris has an incredibly strong and varied technical and business background, ensuring that each production makes use of the best and most relevant technology and workflows. He is the creator of the open source macOS application, CommandPost, which has been downloaded over 258K times - as well as a suite of Final Cut Pro tools on the Mac App Store. His producing credits include the SBS2 series The Wizards of Aus, the Fairy Tale unit on Foxtel mini series Lambs of God, and the ABC ME project The Legend of Burnout Barry. Chris is a member of Screen Producers Australia, Australian Screen Editors, and is an Adobe Certified Expert. He also runs the Final Cut Pro website, FCP Cafe. MIKE GREANEY / Head of Animation

Mike Greaney is an award-winning writer and cartoonist based in Melbourne. Across his 15-odd years in the art mines he’s made animated videos for Green Day and Neil Young, directed on series for Adult Swim, screened short films at festivals across the world and his comics have racked up millions of likes, comments and shares on social media. He is currently developing shows with people he’s not sure he’s allowed to talk about right now. He’s very nice and chill and some say funny and this is definitely not him writing in the third person.

KEVIN LUK / Editor

Kevin Luk has been working with LateNite for the last five years as an editor, visual effects artist and all round swiss army knife. His work as an editor has included the Guy Pearce music video What Makes You Think, the YouTube and Screen Australia funded short Rebooted, and Erinsborough High, a spin-off of the popular soap Neighbours for Channel 5 in the UK. Kevin has shown his adaptability in visual effects and colour grading while remaining true to his passion of story, characters, and the moments between the cuts.
